waterfowl

El halcon lodge is situated between 2 lakes on approximately 200,000 acres of wheat, barley, oat and cornfields, along with several smaller nearby ponds. these fields act as a magnet to concentrations of waterfowl wintering and feeding in this valley.
The season begins in November and runs through the end of February. most of our goose hunting is in dry fields, recommending grassy type camo. however, some shooting takes place in marsh type ponds, close to the reservoirs, so waders are also recommended. daily limits are generous.
